    Hello,

I am wondering how the April 8th action went. Can you direct me to someplace on the website? I’m not on Facebook or Twitter.

    Thanks,

    Kelley

Thanks for raising awareness about the Congo. Do you have any opinion about the Dodd-Frank Conflict Minerals Act? Is this a step in the right direction? If so, is it possible to highlight how we can work with this step in the right direction to make further progress on this issue? Thanks again!

    • Thank you following the Dear Hillary Campaign for the Congo, sorry for the delay in response, we took a break after our last campaign as most of us our college students. We have discussed the Dodd Frank Conflict Minerals Act, however, our last campaign was to encourage the State Department to deploy a US special envoy to the Congo. Please check back soon for our next campaign, we are just gearing up! The Dodd Frank Act is being addressed by the Enough Project and we support their work. We feel that the Dodd Frank Act has potential but is not being regulated or enforced. In December we met with Ambassador Verveer and some staff from the African Affairs bureau where we discussed the failures of the Dodd Frank Act and restated these concerns during our conversation with Mr. Yamamoto and the African Affairs bureau in April. Our next campaign will again address the Dodd Frank Act. Thank you for your questions.

My name is Haley Ross, and I have been studying what has been going on in the Congo for the majority of my senior year in high school. I am very interested in what you both have been doing, and was wondering if within the next couple of days, one of you would be willing to have a quick phone interview with me. I would love to learn more about how you both became interested in the Congo and what you plan to do with the organization in the future. Thank you!

    • Hi Haley,
I am so sorry that we did not get back to you sooner. I am the website manager for the Dear Hillary Campaign and after our last campaign on April 8th we took a little break (I graduated from college and got a job) BUT Now we are back in action, we would love to have you involved. Again I am sorry for the delay in response. Thanks for your interest. I look forward to working with you.
